On both Sundays after the first meal service, our guests were given blankets, clothing, hygiene and other supplies.

Thanks to DAYS Long Beach (an educational and leadership development non-profit serving children and families in downtown Long Beach) for donating toys and shoes to give to our children yesterday. Also, our volunteer Katie and her helpers built marshmallow snow people with the children yesterday. Thank you to Jorge for also bringing toys, food and clothes to give away yesterday.

On the previous Sunday Dr. Sophia and her HOPE team conducted wellness checks for some of our guests, as well as distributed toiletries.
During the past two weeks, staff and I worked to help families and individuals with apartment searches, limited rent assistance, utility payments and transportation passes.
Thank you for being part of our village and helping us address the needs of people experiencing homelessness and helping individuals and families move off the streets and into homes.
We appreciate your support and generosity and encourage you to consider making end-of-the-year contributions to “UCO” by visiting our website www.ucodic.org or sending donations to 241 Cedar Ave, LB 90802. If you would like to offer other resources that may help people who are experiencing homelessness, please feel free to contact me.
Please know that you are welcome to visit us at our drop-in center on Sundays between 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm. If you would like to volunteer, please visit our website www.ucodic.org.
Thank you for your help and support and Happy Holidays to all!
