News from Urban Community outreach

Greetings from the Drop-in Center

After so many months serving only to-go meals due to the pandemic, the Drop-In Center is open again!  We were very excited to open the doors to Patterson Hall last Sunday to welcome our unhoused guests to come in and sit while enjoying a hot lunch.  Nurse Anne was there to share vitamins, hygiene kits, OTC medications and offer help and reassurance to our clients. We are always grateful to have her with us the first Sunday of each month. Our Housing Coordinator, Celia, was there to meet with clients to discuss housing solutions.

Thank you as always to our donors.  We are resuming our Saturday collections.  Many of you have asked what we need most. The list is below but keep in mind we are grateful for any donations.

Bottled water, canned goods (with flip lids) such as meats, tuna, fruits and soups. Also, wet/dry pet food and pet toys. Donations may be dropped off at our alley door on Saturdays, 10 am to 11 am.
