Gratitude
[ˈɡradəˌt(y)o͞od]
NOUN
The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

We are grateful for summer days, our clients and you.

UCO is closed for deep cleaning in July but work still goes on for everyone. Cherry and the kitchen crew are deep-cleaning, Celia is busy working on housing our clients and Ann is working on some grants and projects for the fall.

UCO reopens for to-go service for the month of August but the Drop-In Center officially re-opens in September so there will be lots going on behind the scenes in August to get ready. Stay tuned.

On July 31, we need your help in collecting peach/fruit cups, mac n cheese, tuna, soups, spam, or other canned meats (with pop off lids) and bottled water. Donations may be dropped off at our alley door on Saturday, 10 am to 11:30 am. UCO staff will set up a table in the doorway at the second alley door and donors are asked to put donations on the table. If you cannot make it in and would like to send a check, you can send it to 241 Cedar Ave, Long Beach CA 90802

Enjoy your summer days and we will see you soon!

In gratitude,
Ann
